Hello Students,
The
present perfect tense is among the most common verb tenses in English.
We use it to talk about our lives and the things that have happened
starting in the past up until now.
Here are the three main reasons for using the present perfect tense:
1. Describe an activity that started in the past and is still true now:
- She has lived in Los Angeles for three years.
- The students have been in the classroom since 8:00.
- I haven't eaten since this morning.
- They have finished their work.
- You have been extremely helpful!
- Ken has seen that movie.
- We've completed four of the exercises.
- They've been to Florida many times.
- I have had many good experiences with that company.
To form the present perfect tense, use this formula:
S + has or have + the past participle
