The past tense is used for things that you did yesterday, last week, last year, or just an hour ago.
Here's an example:
Zahra went shopping for clothes. She left early in the morning and took her children with her. There were many things on sale. She was happy to see such low prices. Unfortunately, when Zahra went to pay for the clothes she found, she
learned that she forgot her money at home. She had to go all the way back home to get some money. She returned later in the afternoon and paid for her things.
Do you see where all the past tense verbs are?
In
this exercise, write the past tense form for the verbs that are missing
in these sentences. You must change all of the verbs into the past
tense. Almost all of these verbs are irregular.
